Mr VIJEHY BALAKRISHNAN, male, Malaysian, is the Chairman and Executive Director of SAHA ASIA INDUSTRIES SDN BHD. He was appointed to the Board on 25th July 2017.
Mr Vijehy Balakrishnan has 15 years of experience in the processing field, where he began his career with Cargill Palm Products Sdn Bhd. His background of studies in Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology Malaysia and continued his Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering with Entrepreneurship.
Mr Vijehy Balakrishnan has been practising more on hands operation with Physical Refinery processing, Neutralization plant processing, Dewaxing processing plant, Waste water treatment on MBBR and SBR type, Shortening, Margarine, Ghee and infant formulation. Besides that, Mr Vijehy Balakrishnan was successfully involved in Plant design and commissioning with the project team for CAPEX management. He was later appointed as Production Executive at BASF Petronas Chemical Sdn Bhd for Aroma production speciality chemicals and aroma processing. Another career advance by his journey at The Linde Group on industrial gases processing for cryogenic products as Asia Pacific Remote Operation Engineer. Together collaboration with Universities Mr Vijehy Balakrishnan started PhD in Process Plant Management on new product development by participating in International Conference Japan’s Agriculture & Food Technology and Innovation 2022 (IJAF 2022) as a contribution of Malaysia's products to be exported while creating more opportunities for upcoming young Entrepreneurs. This made Mr Vijehy to attempt more on CSR talk which involves collaboration with local universities.
Mr. Eswaran
Factory Manager
Eswaran, male, Malaysian, is the Production Manager in Saha Asia Industries Sdn. Bhd. He was appointed to the board in 2017.
Mr. Eswaran pursued a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering at University Malaysia Sarawak. He then obtained his Master’s in Manufacturing Engineering at University Putra Malaysia in 2012. Mr Eswaran started his career path as a production engineer in Modipalm Engineering Sdn Bhd. After a year, he served as a project engineer under Lipotech Engineering & Consultancy Sdn Bhd for 2 years. Then he broadens his skills and techniques by joining Boustead International Heaters Sdn Bhd as a project engineer. After gaining adequate knowledge and skills, he is then offered as a Senior Project Engineer under Rotork Malaysia Sdn Bhd which he served for 4 years. Mr Eswaran then took the opportunity to join Saha Asia Industries Sdn Bhd as Factory Manager. With a total of 10 years of experience and knowledge in the Manufacturing field, he was then promoted to Production Manager after 2 years serving until the current date.
Mr Sivaram Paul
HR/Sales Manager
Mr Paul is a graduate student of Industrial Electronics (Specialize: Process Instrumentation & Control) Advanced Diploma from German Malaysian Institute. After graduating from college, Mr Paul started as an assistant engineer at BMAC Malaysia. Later on, Mr Paul started serving as a technical assistant with ABB Malaysia and was then promoted to Technical Executive. He further his studies as a part-time student for an Electronics & Electrical Bachelor Degree from the University of Sunderland-SEGI College. After graduating from college, Mr Paul was promoted to be an Automation Service Engineer. Here in ABB Malaysia, Mr Paul upgraded from Automation Service Engineer to Sales Support Engineer within 5 years of service. As a share partner, Mr Paul then joined hands with Mr Vijehy in running the management of Saha Asia as a Sales Manager of Saha Asia Industries Sdn Bhd.
Despite all this, Mr Paul has a track record of being actively involved in voluntary work with Parliament Klang Food Bank to supply groceries and basic necessary items for those affected especially during the Covid Pandemic and Flood season.

Garnesh
Sales Executive
Garnesh, 27, male, Malaysian, is the Senior Sales Executive of Saha Asia Industries Sdn Bhd. He was appointed on Board on 1st January 2022.
Mr Garnesh pursued his bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering at the University Technology of Malaysia in 2021. As a freshman, Mr Garnesh obtained knowledge in oleochemical during his internship at Emery Oleochemical Rika. He then started his career path as Junior Planning Engineer at Sapura Energy Berhad. Here he obtained the knowledge and skills needed to run multiple projects and operations under the company. Mr Garnesh is then offered as a Sales Executive in Saha Asia Industries in 2020. After a remarkable performance, he was then promoted to Senior Sales Executive after a year up to recent date.
Kumutha
Admin & Logistics
Mrs Kumutha, 31, female, Malaysian, is the Admin and Logistics in Saha Asia Industries Sdn Bhd. She was appointed on board on 3rd August 2019.
Mrs Kumutha completed her Diploma in Corporate Administration in Kolej Masa in 2011. Mrs Kumutha then pursued her first job in Mega Auctioneer Services as an admin clerk. After that, she was appointed to Valiant Industries Sdn Bhd as Purchasing & Admin Clerk for a period of 4 years. There Mrs Kumutha had the opportunity to master the skills in company accounting, exporting documentation and also other administration documents. Then, Mrs Kumutha continued her career in Petro Trade Steel Sdn Bhd as an Admin & Account Assistant. After 2 years Ms Kumutha looked for a change in her field which then made her join Sri Sukkran Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd as an Admins & Accounts. Mrs Kumutha was then offered a better deal at Saha Asia Industries Sdn Bhd as Admin & Accounts in 2019 till the current date. Here Mrs Kumutha was offered a chance to obtain LCCI (Completion in bookkeeping course) while working in Saha Asia Industries to hone her skills in her.
Thevagar Dewar
QAQC Executive
Thevagar, 27, male, Malaysian, is the QAQC Executive in Saha Asia Industries Sdn. Bhd. He was appointed to the board in 2021.
Mr Thevagar graduated from University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia where he completed both a diploma and degree in Chemical Engineering Technology majoring in Biotechnology. His first work experience was at Coca-cola Bottlers Malaysia as a diploma internship student. Here Mr Thevagar learnt the basic knowledge and skills needed for Quality Personnel. After his degree, he joined Saha Asia Industries Sdn Bhd to complete his degree internship. As Thevagar was the first intern for the company he was instructed to study RBD Palm Olein and quality parameter testing involving Palm Olein which later succeeded in setting up an in-house laboratory for quality parameter testing. After an internship, Thevagar worked in various companies for a short time. He gained many experiences along the way in different areas and expertise. The experience made him realise that he prefers working in the laboratory as a tester. Then he was offered by Mr Vijehy to join the company as QAQC Executive on the 29th of November 2021 up to recent date.
Sri Rajeshwari
Finance Executive
MRS. SRI RAJESWARI, female, Malaysian, is the Finance Executive in Saha Asia Industries Sdn. Bhd. She was appointed to the board on 2022.
Mrs Sri Rajeswari pursued a bachelor’s degree in chemistry majoring in industrial chemistry from Universiti Technology Malaysia in 2010 and is a registered member of Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM), or the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry. Mrs Sri Rajeshwari started her career path as a registered senior chemist with “CHEMSIL AIR & WATER SDN BHD” an accredited laboratory providing analytical services in chemical, physical, environmental and microbiological areas. Mrs Sri Rajeshwari was assigned to develop and validate new analytical testing methods upon accreditation besides improving or customizing formulas and processes. Here she obtained knowledge about laboratory safety regulations and quality standards. After 3 years of service, Mrs Sri Rajeshwari then Worked as a senior chemist with “Top Glove”, the largest rubber glove manufacturer in the world. While working in “Top Gloves “she was introduced to developing and improving the automation process, whereby online sensors were installed in the production process to obtain real-time results. She was assigned to conduct research with latex, chemicals and formers for continuous improvement of the production processes. Then after 5 years, she then worked as a QA Executive with Chong Wah Plastics Sdn Bhd. Part of her work is to analyse the chemical make-up of materials that are essential in manufacturing to ensure product safety. She also examined product defects, ensured products conform to specifications, conducted investigations on the root cause of problems, and advised on ways and methods to rectify the issues. Here Ms Rajeshwari conducted research and gained knowledge on how products, processes, and equipment can be improved, writing technical papers, and reports, and preparing standards and specifications for processes, tests, and products.
